Обзор тематических направлений образовательных материалов
Ниже представлен обзор направлений в изучении основ работы с данными. Информация носит описательный характер.
Statistics, the Intuitive Version
Mean, median, spread, correlation - the core ideas explained by feel rather than by formula.
The point isn't to turn you into a statistician. It's to make you comfortable reading a summary and knowing roughly what it's telling you.
Format: short introductory pieces aimed at general understanding.
Charts and Visuals
Which chart fits which question, and why a bar chart and a line chart are not interchangeable. Simple as that.
We also cover the honest side of it: axes that don't lie, scales that don't mislead, colors that don't push a conclusion the numbers don't support.
Format: introductory readings with annotated examples.
Data Fundamentals
A plain-language intro to what data actually is. What forms it takes, why some of it is neat rows and some of it is messy text, and how people put shape on it before doing anything else.
Format: short introductory readings with worked examples in the margins.
Tooling Landscape
A broad map of the kinds of tools people reach for when working with data. Spreadsheets, notebook environments, dashboarding software, query languages - what each category is generally used for.
No walkthroughs of specific products here. Just enough context to know which corner of the toolbox you're looking at.
Format: overview readings, software-agnostic.
Reading the Results
A number on its own doesn't say much. Context does the heavy lifting.
These materials focus on how to interpret findings carefully - what the sample was, what got left out, where the analysis stops being reliable. Nothing is guaranteed to hold in every situation, and knowing where the edges are matters as much as the result itself.
Format: descriptive introductory materials.
